5.0 star star star star starI'd definitely recommend Dr. Mary Ella Blair Wood_not just because I picked her over the other doctors or because she shares the name 'Ella' with one of my sisters_but because she was super nice, really knowledgeable, and had such a great personality.

5.0 star star star star starIf I can give her an 11, I would because she comes always prepared and answer my questions explaining what is not clear to me. She helped me to understand better the urticaria disorder I experience recently. I really appreciate that.

5.0 star star star star starI feel she is well educated and knowledgeable on many levels, clearly those related to my healing goals. Dr. Wood is in alignment with my goals, understanding that I respect prescription medication when necessary and that I also respect alternative supplements and life-style options and nutrition guidance. (I've had many "allergic" reactions, including hives to many prescriptions over the years.)

5.0 star star star star starI am giving Dr. Wood a 11 because she went the extra mile to serve my health needs explaining the results of my last lab exam and discussing my present health condition, plus prescribing the necessary meds. My best primary doctor!!!

5.0 star star star star starDr Wood is both friendly and professional. She took plenty of time with me to discuss my situation, make sure my health history was accurately recorded in my chart, and answer my questions. I love that she uses an integrative medicine approach and that the emphasis in our discussion was on "whole person" care - lifestyle and nutrition approaches to achieving my health goals and always considering pharmaceuticals as a last resort when holistic approaches don't work. I wish all medicine was practiced this way.

5.0 star star star star starI wouldn't change Dr. Wood for any other doctor. She is caring, professional, knowledgeable and kind. I am recommending her to my friends. I already got one of my friends to switch to her because of the quality of Dr. Wood's medical services.

External Professional Relationships

These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
