Dr. Woodrick has treated me since in the dx of GCA. He carefully tapered me off prednisone from 80mg while starting me on the biologic (tocilizumab) that has restored me to near normal. When CBCs indicated that tocilizumab may be causing problems (cf lower WBC, neutrophil etc, counts), he has monitored and balanced the risks and benefits and alternatives.

Dr. Woodrick generally cares about his patients. He listens and is kept up to date on new research. Most other hospitals treat their patients as a number solve the symptoms and move on. My assumption is that Northwestern allows their doctors time to research.
