That may have been the best experience I've ever had at a doctor's office/hospital. Every single person in the building from the info desk to the check in desk, doctors/nurses everyone in the GI unit on the 16th floor was friendly and kind. Dr Patel was such a pleasure to speak with. Other practices should take notes.

She is very patient and listens to my concerns and keep me informed about what she thinks for next steps and why. I came very prepared for my initial appointment and she didn't dismiss me and after follow ups and tests that have come back normal she still has not dismissed me and said "it is probably ibs" and there is nothing that can be done and then I leave (this has happened with my primary care dr through northwestern as well as a different GI dr I tried going to)

This was my third colonoscopy and Ronak Vashi Patel, MD was the best doctor of all three. These procedures are extremely uncomfortable (both the prep and the procedure), and her kind, gentle bedside manner was unmatched. And I was amazed at how quickly she followed up with me, especially after receiving no follow up from other departments this past year.
