Dr. Boykin is amazing! She was kind, patient, attentive, knowledgeable and very caring. She has excellent bedside manner. We had a few concerns we needed to address and she went through each one with such great communication. My daughters loved their visit. I'm extremely grateful she's our Pediatrician.

Dr. Boykin gave thorough service with smile and laughter for my 17-year old twin daughter and son. She made them responsible in filling out their forms and answering questions about their health. They felt comfortable when I left out of their rooms so they could privately discuss matters with their doctor.

Dr. Alicia Boykin is the best doctor I have came across since my childhood Dr. she is so attentive and listened to all of my concerns about my daughters health. My daughter is pre diabetic and where we live none of the doctors offices were really interested in helping they said they couldn't do anything until she is already diabetic. Until I met Dr. Boykin. As soon as I met her though, she got a new Job with your health system.I was unable to locate her and my daughters previous office wouldn't give any type of information where to find her. I finally found her but now I live 77 miles one way to your facility I will make that drive every time to see Dr. Boykin. That speaks volumes on how good of care she gives. She actually takes the time to listen to what the symptoms are your having and try to come up with solutions to eliminate them. She doesn't brush you off, interrupt you, she is a great listener. Even explaining consent to my daughter during the exam to make sure she didn't feel uncomfortable with anything. I'm blown away by the care I received today and I'm going to tell as many other parents that I can about her and your facility. Usually to establish care with a doctor can take months but we were able to get right in. That is the first time I have ever seen that!

External Professional Relationships

Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
