5.0 star star star star starDr. Koreishi was exceptionally kind and his calm demeanor helped put us at ease when we were anxious about the results. We think he was a bit surprised by the results, but he was able to figure out so quickly an explanation that was clear, concise, and logical. This speaks to his intelligence and his impressive ability to think fast and work under pressure even when two anxious people were staring at him. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to have him guide us on this complicated journey called cataract surgery. He was also concerned he had not responded to our questions on MyChart quickly enough, but we are thankful he even responded at all, given his busy schedule. We had chosen him to be our eye doctor because of all the positive feedback he had received from his other patients; it's clear he has earned the utmost respect from all of his patients, including us.

5.0 star star star star starHis time with a patient is very brief, but he listens intently and remembers what the patient tells him -- even weeks later when it is doubtful that any notes were taken. He is very reachable, providing his cell phone number in case a patient has a problem. I'm going to be living out of country for a while, but if I have trouble I am to call him and he will arrange for care in [location] if need be.

5.0 star star star star starAgain, thorough examinations. Explanations that are easy to understand. Also, Dr. Koreishi is very kind and pathetic. He does not hurry the patient. Instead. He listens to every concern and addresses it.

5.0 star star star star starHe is one of the few doctors who are easily accessible by giving patients his phone number. The only criticism we have is that he could do better with communicating to his patients when the outcome of the operation is less than ideal. Patients are usually understanding when things don't work out as planned, but the patients have the right and the need to know as soon as possible. Otherwise, he is a very knowledgeable and compassionate doctor.

5.0 star star star star starWe can't ask for a better doctor. Dr. Koreishi explains things clearly and uses easy-to-understand terms. Dr. [last name] seemed very technical in his approach, but Dr. Koreishi was able to bring a human touch to the whole process. Dr. Koreishi gives all his patients his cell phone number and told us we could call him anytime. We also appreciate his great sense of humor. What more can we ask from a doctor?

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
