5.0 star star star star starDr. Patel is a wonderful physician. She spends time with me, listens to my concerns, and seems to prefer starting treatment from a conservative approach rather than escalating each issue at the start. She treats patients, or at least me, as a partner in my own care. Unquestionably she is my health care expert, but I value how she hears and really listens to me.

5.0 star star star star starDr Patel is what ALL physicians should aspire to be! She listens, she's patient and never dismissive of your concerns. She has reasonable recommendations based on her knowledge of your issues and history. Whatever Northwestern pays her is not enough!

5.0 star star star star starDr Patel is always very well prepared for an appointment. She has clearly reviewed my chart ahead of time and listens to what I have to say. She's very pleasant and positive and I appreciate having her as my internist.

5.0 star star star star starI was on the fence about seeing Dr. Patel and going to urgent care. I think I made the right decision as I received far more guidance than I might have received at urgent care. The stretching exercises are very good, and I appreciate Dr. Patel sequencing them for me.

5.0 star star star star starI find her to be really caring and interested in my health. Gives good advice about things I can do at home to improve some of the things I'm concerned about. Explains things so that I understand.

5.0 star star star star starDr Patel is prepared when I arrive. She has checked my records and is ready to begin. I have had to change my primary a few times in the past five years and I feel she is not only competent, but I am at ease with her even though we do not have a longer history. Both of these points are important to me. Also, Dr Patel is on top of responding after a visit.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Patel, looks at me and listens. She responds directly to my questions and asks questions to clarify that she understands. She helps me understand the changes that I am going through as I age.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
