4.0 star star star star star_borderWhile he was diligent in trying to diagnose my problem, he prescribed an increased medication without considering the side affects and the side affects were not tolerable because they made some other health issues that I have worse.

0.0 star_border star_border star_border star_border star_borderAfter my appointment no one has called to give me results for my urine culture. I know results are in the patient portal but am I supposed to understand the medical terms that describe my results. The Dr spent 5 minutes with me said it could be this or that took a urine sample and have not heard back from them. Very disappointed.

5.0 star star star star starQuick vascectomy appointment. Nurse and doctor were great and explained everything and answered all of my questions. Doctor McGuire was great during the procedure and kept me calm and explained what he was doing with each step. The procedure was a bit more complicated because of my preexisting condition and he handled it wonderfully even though there was more discomfort during that part of the procedure. Overall from start to finish it was as good as a vascectomy could be.

5.0 star star star star starI was very nervous about a possible illness when I went to Dr. McGuire. He immediately put me at ease with his kindness. He explained everything, gave me a thorough exam, and told me I was just fine. I have complete confidence in his conclusion.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
