5.0 star star star star starDr Schaeffer is an incredibly skilled physician. The biopsy I underwent was an order of magnitude better experience than the one I previously had at UCSF. Finding a medical provider of his skill and his compassion is incredibly fortunate for me.

5.0 star star star star starI have heard from others that he is very good at what he does, and I got a chance to experience to meet him and see why people say he's good and now I know why. Felt very comfortable talking with Edward.

5.0 star star star star starDr schaeffer is one of the best providers in the region for urology surgery. I live in Proria Illinois and have limited options for care. I sought him out to be my surgeon on the recommendation of a local friend who recently had him as their Surgeon. The office was very timely in working me in and Dr Schaeffer was Extremely knowledgable and helpful in making my decision for surgery.

5.0 star star star star starDoctor Schaeffer is both extremely competent and compassionate. He cares about his patients, and he is one of only a handful of doctors that has called me directly himself, if I've had questions.

5.0 star star star star starI'm confident in Dr. Schaeffer's judgment and I find him easy to communicate with. I was also impressed with the time he took this morning to explain to the med student who was observing my biopsy exactly what was going on - step by step.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
