5.0 star star star star starDr. Qasem was kind, thorough, highly competent and a great communicator. She took time to ask questions about what she determined to be an allergic reaction in my eyes. We talked through when it has started, what kinds of personal care products I used, medical and allergy history, and then how to best treat the condition. Although she sent me with an Rx for antibiotic drops, she encouraged me not to fill them in about three days time if my eyes were clearing naturally, because her theory was that I had an allergic reaction, not an infection. She pointed out the problems with overuse of antibiotics in situations not needed. I did as she advised and three days later my eyes are almost back to normal.

5.0 star star star star starZahra was fantastic. Despite being the only Dr. on site and being slammed with patients, her manor was great. She was very thorough while asking questions regarding my health and took time with me. She could have easily gone very fast and rushed on to the next patient but she did not.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
