5.0 star star star star starApril was patient and kind as I explained what brought me to Immediate Care. She was through in examining my throat, ears and swollen glands. She informed me that the Rapid Tests that were taken for Flu and Covid were negative. I was also given a Strep test which could take up to a day for a result. Due to the problems I was exhibiting, she prescribed an antibiotic for 10 days. She also recommended OTC Cepacol for my sore throat.

5.0 star star star star starApril was excellent in every way. Highly skilled, very kind, patient. I felt extremely confident in her ability and expertise at every step of the way during what was an unavoidably stressful treatment for a thumb cut.

5.0 star star star star starAPRN April Kay Refendor carefully went through my symptoms; asking me pertinent questions, followed by performing pressure tests on the exterior walls of my cheek and nose sinus areas; she was able to "trigger" some high level pain. After all of that she explained diagnosis; I had a sinus infection and would need an anti-biotic. I must teel you; within 15 minutes of taking the first dose of the prescribed anti-biotic, I began feeling better: MUCH better. I have now completed the five day regiment of the anti-biotic and am still feeling much better. KUDOS to April Kay! :-)

5.0 star star star star starApril was a delight. She is good at explaining things and did a very thorough work up. I did have to call back up with questions and she gladly spoke to me without an attitude and without rushing me off. She even had to call the pharmacy to do a verbal order because the Rx Didn't come through. I appreciate her kind and attitude towards me the entire visit.

5.0 star star star star starApril came into the exam room having already read my pre-consultation chart and she was very efficient, but never made me feel rushed. She was a great listener and explained the treatment plan in steps and in a very detailed way. I was very much grateful because I'm an immigrant and sometimes need an extra time to understand medical procedures. I also would like to mention that the clinic reception staff are ALWAYS so courteous, warm, professional with truly helpful medical knowledge and I cannot thank them enough. Since I lack certain English vocabularies, I rely heavily on their help to phrase my symptoms. They are always so patient with me, so positive and offer the firsthand support and assistance as soon as I approach them. This time Ms Maroay M helped me, but the other female receiving staff helped me last time and she was also truly excellent. Please send my many thanks to them. Thank you.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
