5.0 star star star star starDr. Z is wonderful. She is very thorough in all her exams. She is concerned about the medical and health effects and relevance to many aspects of my life. I know I am in good hands with her. She welcomes all the questions I raise and takes them seriously. She addresses each one directly and thoughtfully. She is clearly knowledgeable and up to date on relevant medical issues and asks questions of me to probe for more facts that might flesh out an issue I might raise. 5.0 star star star star starDr. Zimmerman is able to treat me from a holistic view. I was with my previous doctor for over 25 years and I was worried about starting over again with a new primary care physician. Since day one, I felt comfortable and confident that she was and after several years, is still an excellent choice. Love the way we partner together for my wellbeing. Kudos to Dr. Melissa Zimmerman!

5.0 star star star star starShe is a treasure! I feel comfortable and safe and healthy under her care. My only criticism is that it is difficult to get an appointment with her if I need to get care sooner. But, she is the best primary care physician I have had in my almost 65 years!

She also makes the time to see patients relatively quickly which is a huge relief these days. She's knowledgeable and patient, and overall I have had great experiences with her.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
