5.0 star star star star starI truly can’t express in words everything that Dawn has done for me. She is kind, gentle, and a true empath. She allowed me to be truthful without judgment, and provided me several solutions to my food challenges. I will never forget her, and she will remain an important person in my life, even though I am no longer in her care.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Epstein truly cares, listens and provides fantastic advice. I have been thrown around from doctor to doctor and it’s hard to find that in the healthcare system. I love that she gives her full attention and insight in every session. She’s extremely knowledgeable and articulate with her words. The Gastro team is lucky to have her and so am I:)

5.0 star star star star starI HIGHLY RECOMMEND DAWN E. EPSTEIN FOR CARE because she is an extremely effective: Teacher, Psychologist, Coach and Cheerleader. Prior to being under the care of Dawn E. Epstein, PhD, Gastrointestinal Behavioral Health Psychologist, and the care of NM Gastroenterology, I never even heard of a Health Psychologist. I knew that psychologists treated mental health, diagnosing, understanding, and treating mental disorders. But not until becoming a patient, A SATISFIED PATIENT, of NM Gastroenterology and Dawn E. Epstein, PhD have I learned how health psychologists examine, identify, teach and treat the relationship between mental and physical health. Dawn taught me how the impact of mental health, emotional issues, stress, anxiety, depression; etc. affect my gastrointestinal and physical health, and how recognizing and changing them influence good health and well-being. Dawn taught me how to utilize CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help me recognize and identify my negative thoughts, emotions and behaviors that adversely affected my bowel movements, then helped me to develop new coping skills to ease that process. THAT’S WHY I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DAWN E. EPSTEIN, PhD FOR CARE! The extraordinary Gastrointestinal Behavioral Health Psychology Therapy Dawn E. Epstein, PhD gives a whole new credible meaning to the old saying, "It’s all in your head".

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
