Dr. Nilsen was fantastic. She listened, connected with me, and gave valuable advice and recommendations on my body/age and treatment plan. She also took great care with me during the exam as I'm usually a terrible patient. It had been awhile since my last appointment and she showed no judgement just kind care. I have now found my doctor in the city!

Dr. Nilsen has been an absolute gift throughout my pregnancy. She is not only incredibly knowledgeable and thorough, but also one of the most kind and compassionate people I've ever met. I always feel completely at ease in her care - she takes the time to answer every question thoughtfully and makes me feel genuinely seen and supported. It's clear that she truly cares about her patients, and I feel so lucky to have her as my doctor during such a meaningful time. She's truly an amazing human and has made this experience even more special.

Today I had a routine prenatal visit with Dr.Nilsen and left feeling so happy! Annika really takes the time to get to know her patients and listens to any concerns! I never feel rushed in her presence and her calming presence makes me so excited she is a part of my care team.

This is my second pregnancy with Northwestern and my first time meeting Dr. Nilsen. The first appointment after finding out you're pregnant is always a little nerve wracking but Dr. Nilsen was so sweet and calmed my nerves. Her communication was great and she talked me through everything in a way I can understand. I also felt like I was being heard with my questions/concerns. Overall she was wonderful and I look forward to seeing her again at my future appointments.

Doctor Nilsen has a great personality and is very empathetic. It's a pleasure to speak with her during appointments and she makes uncomfortable situations feel better. She encourages the patient to ask questions and answers all of them in great details which I find very important.

Amazing care and service. Worked with me when something wasn't going as planned and did it so sweetly and with respect. She created a safe environment that included trauma-informed care and prioritized consent. Extremely patient, and I didn't feel like I was just trying to be seen and rushed out the door. One of the best doctors I've been lucky to be in the care of.

Dr. Nilsen explains procedures in an easily understandable manner and takes her time with patients. I've seen her twice now and I've been really impressed with her bedside manner and also with the helpful information she shares in appointments. She also acknowledges my husband's existence which doesn't always happen. She has been thorough when reviewing my chart and has made recommendations that other doctors have missed. I really like her and I'm glad she has joined the practice. She is a great addition.

Dr. Nilsen is everything you would want to find in an OB provider. She's exceptionally calm, confident, and advocated for women. I was immediately comfortable as she entered the room. She took the time to listen to me and my wishes. She made an appointment I had been so nervous for go so smoothly. I couldn't help but smile leaving the office. Can't recommend her enough!

Dr. Nilsen is a kind, caring doctor who made my annual visit personal and pleasant. As a new patient, it was clear that she had thoroughly read through my chart and knew my history. She asked if I wanted a std screen, which is an example of her thoroughness (I don't think a gyn has offered that to me since before I was married). And she asked to see pictures of my kids which I appreciated. In a brief appointment, she was able to form a genuine patient connection with me, which in my experience is rare. Would definitely recommend and select her again as a provider.
