5.0 star star star star starDr Chandler explained my tumor and the need for surgery with such clarity and precision, and described his surgical plan concisely and effectively. My husband and I are pianists, not neuro-specialists, abut we left feeling like we had been given a clear path that describes the best way forward. I'm so thankful for his expertise and experience, and we feel I'm in the best hands possible. We appreciated how he listened to our questions and answered them with great consideration, and how he left room for questions. I appreciated his question, "Is this what you were expecting to hear in this appointment?" It has given me some food for thought as we prayerfully move forward in this situation. We also really enjoyed laughing together, and we're glad Dr Chandler and his resident now know that you can get a doctorate in piano!!

5.0 star star star star starI felt so confident that Dr. Chandler was a great doctor for me. He was highly recommended by my own PCP. He has a presence and a professionalism that is remarkable. He analyzed my situation and instead of plunging in to operate, decided to be prudent and see if my particular problem could resolve itself. He made a tentative date for surgery but another appointment to see me two weeks before. I happened that my situation resolved enough to avoid immediate surgery. Now we will track the problem and see if it continues improving. What a great approach to medicine.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
