5.0 star star star star starDr. Gates was kind, knowledgeable, thorough and listened in a way that was engaging to address concerns. She didn't rush through the appointment. She shared a plan of care and explained next steps and options (with pros, cons and limitations). The office visit was one of the best I had with a doctor in years! I felt respected and heard. Highly recommend her.

5.0 star star star star starI recently had the pleasure of being under the care of Dr. Khalilah Gates and what impressed me the most about Dr. Gates is her exceptional ability to explain complex medical concepts in a simple and understandable manner. She patiently listened to my questions and concerns, and she never rushed through any part of our conversation. Her dedication to ensuring I fully comprehended the diagnosis, treatment options, and reasoning behind her recommendations was truly remarkable. I ended the appointment feeling informed, empowered, and optimistic about my health journey.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Gates is patient and a good listener. After hearing of my experiences, she devises a strategy for addressing my issues with the goal of progressively alleviating them rather than just treating them. I like this approach. That she takes the time to listen is a huge, huge bonus.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
