5.0 star star star star starThe was my first appointment with Dr. De Freitas and I thought his care was truly exceptional. He was so knowledgeable, patient and had a unique calm-kindness when explaining my test results. I was so nervous ( as always at my cardiologist appointments and tests) and he truly made me feel at ease and comfortable. He really listened to my questions and concerns and answered every single one with detailed explanations in easy to understand language. Additionally, he took the time to summarize our conversation and place in my patient chart, where I can look back at to review. I would highly recommend Dr. De Freitas in the future.

5.0 star star star star starDr. De Freitas answered every question regarding my case. He also answered every one of my husband's questions. He provided excellent clarification regarding my diagnosis and treatment. He is patient centered and definitely communicated with compassion, clarity, knowledge and extreme awareness of my medical condition. He never makes me feel rushed or as if I am taking too much of his time. I would absolutely recommend Dr. De Freitas.

5.0 star star star star starI have seen many cardiologists in my day, and he is the best. He always spend the time needed to fully explain this thoughts and answers all questions. I always leave and say to myself how lucky I am to have him for a doctor. NW is very lucky to have him on staff.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
