5.0 star star star star starAs I've written before, Mr. Apuada is clear in explaining things, always indicates what will be taking place and why, and makes it easy to ask questions or express any anxieties about the treatment.

5.0 star star star star starMichael is not only a good listener but he also explains very clearly how the exercises we work on address the problems I have with muscle weakness and instability in my legs. I ask him a lot of questions and so I am especially appreciative of his responsiveness. As an older woman, I also appreciate that his manner makes me feel as if my physical issues are as important -- and as capable of improvement -- as those of a woman decades younger; in other words, he takes me seriously and I have never experienced dismissiveness or minimizing. Because of Michael's attitude I feel that I can definitely improve and with work and consistency regain movement, build strength and return to the quality of life I had only a few months ago. I don't think I could ask for more in a physical therapist.

5.0 star star star star starMichael has been able to help me understand and treat the pain I have been experiencing for months without any resolution through a litany of tests and doctor visits. I learn something new each treatment. NM is lucky to have him!

5.0 star star star star starMichael educated me on the long standing issue I have struggled with and put my mind at ease. He is very knowledgable and took the time to explain what was likely going on and taught me about the pelvic floor. He is friendly and was prepared for my visit. I left with a much needed sense of a path forward and relief.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
