Ratings and Reviews
At Northwestern Medicine, our patient’s feedback is important to us. While different care providers have their own unique strengths, we strive to be as transparent as possible with our quality of care.
Dr. Wiet takes the time to go over all concerns, questions, etc. related to my heart health and overall health. He doesn't have the \high and mighty\" attitude of some specialists that I've encountered in the past. He's easy to talk to and never rushes me through my appointments with him."
I have been in Dr. Wiet's care for 16 years. He is the best Dr. I have ever been associated with. The entire staff has been great. They are a pleasure to work with. I have complete confidence that I am receiving the best care possible!
Answered everyone of my questions, with great detail and in a way I could understand. He also responded in a calm and in a non-rushed way which I always look for in a doctor. I don't like to feel pressured or rushed.
I made an appointment for an EPS doctor (Dr. Verma). I told the scheduler. I was informed that Dr. Verma does not see patients at NLFH, so I was referred by the receptionist to Dr. Wiet. I was not told he was only a cardiologist and was never informed that the SOP was to see a cardiologist first before an EPS. When I say Dr. Wiet, he told me he was not an EPS but just a “plumber.” He proceeded to walk out, never came back to see me and instead sent the manager for the department. What a stellar bedside manner!! Schedulers need re-education ASAP on how to do their job.
He answered all my questions and took the time to clarify to ensure that I was well informed. He also had read my history, etc before he saw me, so we didn't waste time. He is very personable and straightforward.
During our first Telehealth call with Dr. Wiet, he asked us many questions concerning my mother's medical history, prior to assessing her path forward. He then recommended two tests and increased one of my mother's medications. ..After the increase in medication, we monitored my mother's blood pressure daily and were happy to see if lowered to a healthier range. ..Once the test were completed, Dr. Wiet called us to discuss his findings and determine our path forward. ..Dr. Wiet has also been very accommodating during this pandemic, so we've had the option to discuss my mother's cardiac care by using Telehealth calls, video calls, or in-person visits, at either of Dr. Wiet's two locations.
He was very understanding and actually took time to listein and go over previous results from different doctors and took the time to make everything a little more easier also stated that he was going to do everything in his power to try and find a diagnosis for me really appreciated that and would recommend him for anyone.
