5.0 star star star star starLove Dr. Ellens! She is an amazing doctor and has been so extremely helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and responds any message I send. I also appreciate the way Dr. Ellens explained the results of my blood work and gave me insights on what I can do to help facilitate an optimal outcome.

5.0 star star star star starI would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Ellens to any of my friends or family and in fact, I often do. You should encourage all of your providers to treat their patient's as Dr. Ellens does. When I see Dr. Ellens, I do not feel like a number or a dollar sign. I feel like a person, like a patient who is being treated by a professional that actually cares. That unfortunately is an uncommon thing to find these days. Thank you to Dr. Ellens.

5.0 star star star star starShe takes time, listens to patient (my protests and all). Recommends and explains pros and cons of treatment possibilities; explains risks and benefits; then lets me decide without acting like she's a wounded god if I refuse something recommended (say a mammogram-- which I have reasons to object to.) She's thorough, gentle, careful, patient.

5.0 star star star star starShe has worked with me to control my type 2 diabetes where my a1c is well under the max. She listens to what you have to ask her and will give you an answer. She is wonderful and that helps me trust what she says.

5.0 star star star star starI adore Dr. Ellens. She must be crazy busy, and yet she (and her team) response so quickly to my questions/messages or refill requests. Dr. Ellens is helpful, professional, knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, kind, friendly, and calming. I appreciate the amount of time she spends with patients. Although doctor's appointments can be stressful, I look forward to seeing Dr. Ellens. I am so very lucky to have Dr. Ellens as my PCP.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
