5.0 star star star star starDr Alston was even more pleasant with my daughter as she is with me. She made her feel comfortable and asked open-ended questions which allowed her to elaborate. Dr Alston has some of the best bedside manner I've experienced. We truly do love and appreciate her.

5.0 star star star star starDr Alston is the most attentive and personable Primary doctor I have ever had, and I have had many in my 72 years. Her attention to detail is laser sharp. Her exchanges are exacting towards working out a problem and a finding a solution. She was not rushed, listened, commented, and was not judgmental or condescending. Sometimes doctors look at an age or physical condition and make assumptions. Dr Alston is fact based and her take on a person is specific to that person. I highly recommend her to anyone.

5.0 star star star star starDr.Alston has been such a refreshing experience. She really takes the time to actually listen and understand. I don't feel like she's rushing me out the door and trying to get in and get out. I feel seen and listened too. I have had bad experiences with drs who don't listen or make me feel like an annoyance of their day. Thank you so much Dr. Alston!

5.0 star star star star starShe actually listened to me. She made me feel completely comfortable. I never felt rushed. She treats you like another human being, not just one more patient among many. She genuinely wants to help you make decisions about your health.

5.0 star star star star starI met Dr Alston for an urgent care follow up as my primary care physician is out on maternity leave. I was prepared to leave Northwestern in Orland Park and heavily contemplating leaving the organization as a whole until I met her. She has a such a welcoming spirit. She listens, she answered all of my questions without making me feel as if I was asking too many. She was very informative, she took time to think of the best solution for my visit and her bedside manner was comforting. What I appreciated most is that I was there, not even as her patient, but she made me feel like I was. There was no question left unanswered and there was no feeling that I was just another patient. I in that moment felt like she genuinely cared about me and the peace of mind that I had when I left her office. She is now mine and my daughters primary care physician and we are excited to start our healthcare journey with her.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
