5.0 star star star star starI felt Dr. Stein gave me a thorough examination and explained in detail the tests he performed and the reason why. Then he thoroughly explained my options to treat chronic cough and was able to administer a nerve block immediately instead of having to drive back downtown for another visit!

5.0 star star star star starHe puts his patients first. I have spasmodic dysphonia. I don't follow the usual pattern of treatment he is so awesome working with me on when I may need my next shot. He got me in within three days of me calling, even though he was supposed to be out of the office. He did this for at least two other patients that day. Amazing! Also, he explains everything very well.

5.0 star star star star starHe is extremely knowledgeable and very kind. The gossip I got from one of the nurses as I was preparing for a surgery is that of course they don't have favorites...but Dr. Stein is a staff favorite.

5.0 star star star star starDuring my week-long hospitalization, Dr. Andrew Stein provided exceptional care, checking in on regularly including a weekend visit which truly showed his dedication. He guided me step by step through every phase of my recovery in the hospital, making sure I understood the process and was comfortable with each stage leading up to my discharge. Dr. Stein also made it clear how important post-surgical treatment would be in managing my condition long-term. He took the initiative to coordinate with another physician to ensure that the necessary follow-up treatment could be scheduled without delay. That level of attention and teamwork gave me real peace of mind. What touched me and my family deeply was how thoughtful he was during my surgery. It was a long and complex procedure, and he made sure to provide updates to my family throughout the day, helping to ease their anxiety. After the surgery, he ensured they had the chance to see me as soon as possible, knowing they had waited all day. That kind of compassion goes a long way during such a vulnerable time. Every time I mentioned I was being treated at Northwestern, people would say, "You're in good hands." After this experience, I can wholeheartedly say that's true. Dr. Stein, along with his office staff and medical team, provided me with care that was not only clinically excellent, but also with compassionate care.

5.0 star star star star starThis is my second appointment with Dr. Stein. True to form, he was nice and then got down to work. He had to do an uncomfortable test but was as gentle as possible. I trust his expertise and should I ever need surgery, I would want him to do it.

He talked to me throughout the procedure, telling me where we were, what he was doing & why, what he was seeing. He showed me film after the procedure, explaining his findings.
