4.0 star star star star star_borderDr. Ansari-Ali took her time to ask and answer questions regarding my diagnosis of not having Lupus. However, no further tests were ordered, only through visual examination I was told that my test results were false positive.I feel that my diagnosis may have been caught early on in the stages by my primary Dr. Bahadur and that is why there are no visual signs of the disease and also there are 2 types of this disease, where in one you see visual signs but the other has no visual signs but the signs are internal.I neglected to ask that question during my visit, so that is my fault for not asking that question but Dr. Ansari-Ali did take the time to answer the questions we brought up without rushing us out.

5.0 star star star star starShaiba prepares for the 15 minutes made available for the patient. Full attention, soft-spoken probing questions, allowing the right amount of time for a patient to answer. Upon leaving, a patient feels good about the entire episode.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderI thought the appointment was a waste of time. She asked a handful of questions and then decided she no longer needs to see me/treat me. I was baffled since I wasn’t even able to discuss with her my symptoms/concerns that I had. She also saw that I had tattoos on my arms and asked if those came with hepatitis or other STD’s. I found that line of questioning disgusting and incredibly rude. I have been going through years of doctors visits to treat my disease and for her to discredit all of that while also countless doctors opinions as well was unprofessional and condescending. I didn’t feel heard and I felt disrespected.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Ansari-Ali has studied well my records prior to entering the room and engagement with the patient. She genuinely cares about me as a patient. She is most thorough. She is most engaging and friendly. She is ready and welcomes any issues I might bring up, whether related to her field or not, e.g., shared with the doctor my three retinal tears.

4.0 star star star star star_borderDoctor was knowledgeable but repeated some questions multiple times even though I had answered them. As mentioned above, her communication of the plan with the medical staff would have helped ne not have to keep trying to communicate the need for the medical assistant to get my information to my PCP.

5.0 star star star star starShe is the best. She has an incredible 'bedside manner'. She takes time with me and seems to be concerned for the whole me, not just to that which is relative to her specialty. Talking to her is like chatting with a friend who is truly interested in how I am doing.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Ansari-Ali has treated me for years. She is very good, orders appropriate treatment, and gives good advice. She has the wisdom to know how important it is to listen closely to the patient in order to discern exactly what the problem is and assessing what the patient's needs are and thereby implements the best remedies. It is a good feeling when one can leave a doctor's office satisfied and happy.

5.0 star star star star starShe is great. She listens to my concerns and gives me advice on how I can make changes to improve how I feel. It's not always about medications. I feel she also gives me a good physical check-up.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
