5.0 star star star star starDr Grohe - has enormous experience and associated judgment. I’m very happy that he has Saturday hours. I think that is unusual in Northwestern’s practice. Saturday hours are important to me so that I do not disrupt my workday.

5.0 star star star star starBrilliant man who takes the time to listen to his patients and then turns listening into appropriate actions..very rare skill set. I've been coming to him for years before he came to northwestern and followed him here.

5.0 star star star star starDr Grohe performed a thorough eye exam, asked key questions about my symptoms, provided treatment, was very pleasant, and offered follow-up. Since my eyes had become irritated so quickly, it was a great relief that he was able to treat me the same day I called for an appointment.

5.0 star star star star starDr Grohe is my favorite doctor, not only because of his deep knowledge of his field and willingness to listen and thoughtful answer any of my questions, but also because of his kind and generous demeanor.

5.0 star star star star starI have been a patient of Dr. Grohe’s for many years. He is professional, well informed & has a caring & concerned manner. He answers my questions & informs me of new developments in his specialty. His assistant Katrina is also knowledgeable & personable. She too is patient & has a caring manner.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderHe had wrong or missing patient information for me; spent little too time with me as patient each visit; forgot to order my contact lenses after the third visit until I called to inquire 4 weeks later; required too many followup visits to try to solve my vision issues, and then became frustrated with me (the patient) and essentially said I was taking too much of his time; he wanted to give up and leave my issues unresolved after 6 months and 4 visits, but then relented and gave me a “compromise†eyeglass prescription. Really disheartening and disappointing experience.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
