5.0 star star star star starShe listened to what I was saying regarding the change in my hearing and made adjustments to improve it. Very professional, friendly, and truly listens and answers all questions. She did not rush to get us out the door. Made sure everything was good.

5.0 star star star star starLindsay is caring and very knowledgeable. She went the extra mile to help me with my new Cochlear upgrade, setting up my auxiliary devices to work with the new model - Cochlear Nucleus 8. She advised me about my resound hearing aid and we will follow up at a later date. Thanks Lindsay

5.0 star star star star starDr. Lindsay Kandl is fantastic. She’s very helpful and proactive. I was having issues with my new cochlear device and she called cochlear directly to resolve and after their attempts were unsuccessful, asked them to overnight me a new processor. Lastly, she handled sending back the malfunctioning processor. I felt like I truly had a hearing advocate.

5.0 star star star star starI answered that on the question before. She can explain my questions so I feel like I can really use my hearing aids. I never feel like she is frustrated by my questions. She demonstrates how to fix the volume by using my phone. She always checks at the beginning of the visit to make sure they are working properly. She is a real asset to Northwestern’s Department.

5.0 star star star star starI just gave them above. She was extremely patient and did not rush any decisions and was willing to go back over information. In addition, I had been given some details from a relative regarding the important steps in order to have ones hearing aids set to my needs She did all of that right before me. I didn't even mention that I had been told to make sure it happened. She is really professional and has great people skills.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Kandl's ability to explain the situation in a very friendly manner. If I ask her to repeat it, she is glad to do so. It's important for me to know how I can hear the best way and to do things like read a library book along with listening to the matching CD. She does a good job of making sure I understand the best way to progress!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
