5.0 star star star star starSince Dr. King has taken over my treatment plan, I've have great improvement in my condition with no side effects. The Dr. has given me more information about my condition than I've ever gotten to better help me to care for health.

5.0 star star star star starI feel I can trust her - I trust her, because she makes me feel heard / and takes my experiences, as I report them, seriously. No matter what comes after, it must be the only place where you can start - especially concerning matters of our brains.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderAlthough everyone is human and I’m sure my doctor is very busy, there has become more and more inattention to detail. Issues include repeatedly not calling in the right prescription for me, even after we’ve discussed the change. Though I think she did a good job in referring me to the neurosurgeon and collaborating with them evaluate me for a cutting edge neurosurgery, I might not even pursue that surgery. So her lack of attention to the small picture, day to day stuff that is less likely to get you on the front page of a medical journal is especially frustrating. For example, I thought we had a goal of transitioning me to a different seizure medication so that it’s safer to have children. We had this discussion over six months ago and little progress has been made. I hate to give this type of review because I’m sure she is a lovely person, and her demeanor is always pleasant though distracted. However, I am frustrated.

5.0 star star star star starI appreciate the time she spent with us and her desire to be aggressive. Many other doctors have been extremely dismissive and seem to have given up on my Dad. Dr. King really cares and seems determined to find out what is going on.

5.0 star star star star starDr. King took a time to get to know me, understand my medical history and current ailments. She took the time to explain, in detail, the approach she would take to manage through my health issues and the rationale behind it. She has the perfect balance of confidence, kindness and empathy. I left my initial appointment feeling confident that I had the best neurologist I could have ever asked for.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
