5.0 star star star star starMy first surgery with Dr. Manning was 6 years ago with a quick and issue-free recovery. As a result, I have no hesitancy to engage Dr. Manning for a 2nd hip surgery. In combination with his obvious surgical talent, I find his style to be very professional, engaging and thorough.

5.0 star star star star starI found Dr Manning's attitude to be very positive and his approach to patient care to be very uplifting. He was detailed in his explanation of the pending procedure and informing me of the expectations following surgery. I also liked the idea he was willing to initiate a consultation with my PCP and cardiologist and work with them in a team approach to my care.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Manning is very experienced, performing thousands of orthopedic procedures throughout his career. It is because of his expertise and the quality job he performed on my own knee replacement surgery, that I would recommend Dr. Manning to all of my family and friends for their orthopedic needs.

5.0 star star star star starFeel like he genuinely cares about the patient’s issues, listens and has the expertise to deal with my knee replacement surgical procedure. He came highly recommended by Dr Stover who did my 2 hip replacements and I respect his expertise. I feel confident that Dr Manning is an excellent choice for my surgery w so much experience and knowledge in the area of joint replacement.

5.0 star star star star starI put off surgery until I couldn’t. Dr Manning was never rushed pre surgery. Made sure all my questions were answered. Even told me there was one question I did not ask but should have. After having met with two other surgeons I was surprised to hear I overlooked something. Rate of infection. Never heard of it but so grateful Dr Manning educated me. He was THE best for my knee replacement and I am so glad I chose him.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Manning and his teams' attention to detail is exceptional. I felt like they didn't rush or cut corners on my treatment and wanted me to take the extra time to make sure I was well enough to return home.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Manning listened to everything I had to say, explained the problem I was having, and gave me the possible outcomes. He was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. We are waiting for lab results to determine further treatment.

5.0 star star star star starWish I had done this hip replacement 10 years ago. The recovery process has been extremely fast. Stopped using crutches after 1 week, pain meds after 10 days, and am driving again after 3 weeks. Dr. Manning said it would be much easier and fast than the prior hip replacement I had many years ago by another surgeon, and he was totally right

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
