5.0 star star star star starDr, Mohindra spent a lot of time explaining the type of cancer I have with diagrams and all. Her office was able to expedite follow up diagnostic tests that were supposed to take weeks but only took a couple of days and ensured we had the results by the time of my first appointment with her. She was able to start my cancer treatment immediately just one day after my initial consult with her. I feel there is a sense of urgency in everything she and her team are doing for my care.

5.0 star star star star starDr Mohindra gave me options for treatment that were not available in my area. She didn't advise me which options to choose, just made sure I knew them all. Ultimately, my overall health was good enough for lung surgery to remove most of the cancer. That made the chemotherapy treatments less aggressive, which made that portion of the treatment much more tolerable. She is very compassionate about what she does. I believe she helped me make the best decisions for my cancer treatment.

She's caring, compassionate, and took the time to listen and answer all my questions. She also suggested a future care plan for me. I feel grateful to have her as my doctor!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
