5.0 star star star star starHe is very knowledgeable about his specialization. And he always asks how I feel to gauge whether or not he needs to change the dosage of my medication. On my last visit I was very verbose about other health related topics, and even though he was very busy and needed to get to his next patient, he still listened.

5.0 star star star star starDr Malalis really took his time to understand my extensive medical history. I never felt rushed and he really listened to my concerns. He was very honest with me on what to expect and included my thoughts in my plan of care. I am hoping he is finally an endocrinologist who is going to help me get my health back.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Malalis really listens to you, and explains things very well. He is very patient and willing to answer questions and explain why he thinks one choice is better than another. He is incredibly knowledgeable, not only about things that can be taught in books but also things that can only come from direct personal experience with patients. He does very thorough testing of all aspects of the thyroid, not just the TSH levels.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
