5.0 star star star star starHe asked my about my reason for the visit and I explained as best that I could. He examined the problem. He explained what it appears to be and how he would handle it, including procedural details -- in language for a non-doctor. He asked if I had any questions, which I did. He happily answered them. When I didn't have more question, we discussed next-steps. I felt that the doctor was knowledgeable, competent, professional, and patient-focused. I enjoyed working with him and look forward to working with him during my up-coming procedure.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bhakta performed my emergency surgery with upmost professionalism. Later he guided my recovery to another surgery to reconnect my stoma. He was caring and friendly at every meeting. I am thankful for him to be my surgeon at this critical time in my life.

5.0 star star star star starPersonable, direct and knowledgeable. I appreciated the fact that he recommended against surgery at this time. With no additional episodes or symptoms, he wants to wait until something shows up requiring additional review

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
