Application and Interview Process :
- Application requirements
- Resume
- AOTA membership (must have within 90 days of starting the fellowship)
- NBCOT-certification or that you are eligible to take the NBCOT exam by June 15, 2024
- Active Illinois occupational therapy license or applying for Illinois OT license by July 1, 2024
- CPR/BLS certification
- Written personal statement on why you are interested in an acute and critical care fellowship program
- Student rotation in acute care or acute care experience
- Two letters of recommendation
- One letter from a clinical instructor or supervisor from an acute care rotation
- One letter from a professor

- Anticipated start date: August 21, 2024
- Fellowship end date: August 15, 2025
Interview Process
After we review your application, we will select potential fellows for an in-person or virtual interview. The interview will include:- A case study review
- Interviews with these team members:
- OT manager
- OT coordinators
- Mentor/staff panel
- A shadowing opportunity where you can observe a mentor in patient care.
