Overview
At Northwestern Medicine Tinley Park, our board-certified Radiation Oncology team uses advanced technology to plan the optimal radiation dose and precisely target tumors while minimizing impact on surrounding healthy tissue.
Radiation therapy uses high-energy X-rays to kill cancer cells. It uses carefully regulated doses of radiation to target cancer cells and avoid nearby healthy cells. Radiation therapy may be used in combination with other cancer treatments if needed.
Our expertise lies in treating all major cancer diagnoses, including breast, head and neck, lung, gastrointestinal, colon, rectal, prostate, skin, brain, and uterine cancer; Hodgkin’s disease; lymphoma; seminoma; and other malignant and benign conditions. We provide consultations, screenings and a spectrum of radiation therapy services.
