Overview
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in the greater Chicagoland area, including northwest Indiana and southeast Wisconsin, offers a positive, proactive, customized and integrated approach to helping both individuals and organizations find the balance between the competing demands of work and personal life.
The EAP offers customized services to keep you and your company on track, including:
- Local licensed professionals with more than 30 years combined EAP experience
- Access to the Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital system of specialty medical and behavioral health services
- Customized programs to meet the needs of your employees and organization
- Wellness seminars, health screenings and health fairs
- Emergency access 24 hours a day
- Interactive work-life website resources
- Intervention services for crisis situations
- Referrals to community resources
Employees and immediate family members
The EAP provides free and confidential short-term assistance to employees, and their immediate family members, who are experiencing personal or work-related issues. The EAP is available 24/7 for emergencies. Master’s degree, licensed professional counselors provide assessment, solution-focused short-term counseling and referral to community resources for assistance with the following concerns:
- Personal and workplace stress
- Marital, family or relationship issues
- Anxiety and depression
- Substance abuse
- Financial and legal consultation
- Work-life balance
- Grief and loss
Employers, managers and supervisors
EAP counselors are available to discuss and provide consultation, coaching and training on a variety of workplace issues such as:
- Policy development
- Time management
- Downsizing or reorganization
- Low morale
- Troubled employees
- Work-group conflict
- Job performance
- Traumatic incidents in the workplace
- Workplace harassment and violence prevention
- Department of Transportation (DOT) regulation
