Head and Neck AVMs and Lymphatic or Venous Malformations

Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, abnormal tangles of blood vessels in which connections form between arteries and veins directly (bypassing capillaries), disrupting the natural blood flow.

Lymphatic or venous malformations are general terms that refer to congenital vascular anomalies of lymph vessels and veins, respectively.
