Risk factors for ILAs include:
- Increasing age
- Current or prior smoking history
- Family history of interstitial lung disease
- Environmental or occupational exposures
- Genetic predisposition
How ILAs are diagnosed:
- Comprehensive medical and exposure history
- Pulmonary function testing (PFTs)
- Follow-up imaging to monitor for changes over time
- Multidisciplinary review by ILD specialists
