Epworth Sleepiness Scale
The Epworth Sleepiness Scale is a questionnaire to help determine if you are a candidate for a sleep study. If you are frequently tired, wake frequently or fall asleep when you are trying to stay awake, your physician may ask you to complete the Epworth Sleepiness Scale.
The questionnaire asks you to score how likely you are to doze in a variety of situations, such as while watching television, sitting in traffic, or sitting and talking to someone. The Epworth Sleepiness Scale may be used if the following conditions are suspected:
- Circadian rhythm disorders
- Narcolepsy
