Who will care for me during my pregnancy and delivery?

Prentice Ambulatory Care Clinic is a group practice. The Northwestern Medicine Obstetric and Gynecology resident team alongside the supervising academic faculty obstetricians and gynecologists will care for you. You may see different care providers in the office throughout your pregnancy as our providers' schedules vary; they may be in the office, in the hospital for deliveries or surgery, or assigned to other responsibilities.

We work together to provide you with the best care. Northwestern Medicine prides itself as an academic medical center. For this reason, medical students may be part of your care team. Studies show that academic medical centers provide the best care. One reason for this is having physicians-in-training as part of the healthcare team.

An attending physician will supervise your care. On the day you give birth, the physician in the hospital will manage your labor and delivery. Our team is dedicated to the health and well-being of you and your baby.

Our physicians conduct and support research studies through the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. They may ask you to participate in research studies. We encourage you to participate if you can.
