5.0 star star star star starDr. Ho treats you like a whole human. She understands that there are other factors in life and health that may affect your condition. She listens and answers every question you have. She was very patient but firm with me when I had a small freak out moment, exactly what I needed at the time.

5.0 star star star star starOf the perhaps 100 doctors I've seen, Dr. Ho is cleary the best -- outstanding talent, as a surgeon (she saved my life and right leg, and has enabled me to walk with less pain than I ever imagined, and to play pickleball and tennis, which I thought would never be possible again) and doctor, exceedingly kind, thoughtful, caring, giving and compassionate, and utterly unpretentious. I've also read on her Twitter (X) page some of the incredible ways she helps others, including promoting the achievements of, and mentoring, others. I have heard nothing but glowing compliments about her from at least 20 nurses, techs and others who know her and have worked with her. I've told Dr. Ho on multiple occasions that I would do anything for her, and I am participating in one of her research studies. NMH is incredibly fortunate to have her, and I am incredibly fortunate to have her as my doctor.

5.0 star star star star starAgain, like I said, she's a Rockstar!! She tells it like it is, but reminds you that it's ultimately your decision..... he beside manner is impeccable.... although she took two toes, she ultimately saved my life!! I love Dr. Ho!

5.0 star star star star starThe information my family received as a result of the tests ordered by Dr. Ho will enable us to create a plan of care to improve my husband's quality of life. Dr. Ho took the time to explain my husband's physical condition and what can be "reasonably" expected as we move forward with monitoring his health. She was patience and responded to all my questions.
Disclosures
Karen J. Ho, MD reported no external professional relationships for calendar year 2024.
External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
