5.0 star star star star starHe explained the operation clearly, answered the questions I had, and was friendly and caring. The day after, he called me to ask how I was doing and remind me of steps to take. He is experienced and skilled.

5.0 star star star star starHe made me feel as if I was his only patient. He personally came out to the waiting room to bring me back. He called me on Saturday the day after surgery to check on me. Also, he gave me his cell phone number for instant communication. His bedside manner is great. He sees me as a person, not just a number.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Wahood spent more time with me than all 3 previous doctors combined and answered every question I had. When I told him about the pain he gave me 2 injections that day and that made a HUGE difference in my life. My pain went from making my life extremely difficult and the injections gave me my life back.

5.0 star star star star starDr Wahood agreed to do my surgery after he heard my case thru my PCP Dr Ruzich who reached out to Dr Cottons office and Dr Cotton followed up with Dr Wahood. 5.0 star star star star starDr Wahood is very professional. He explains in an easy to understand way what your condition is and what treatments are available. I always feel comfortable with his recommendations. Additionally, his bedside manner is impeccable. You just have to like being around him.

5.0 star star star star starFor the reasons above when he did my surgeries in 2023 and I made sure he would be my surgeon again when I dislocated and refractured my left ankle 10/25. We discussed the different surgeries he could do and the expected outcomes. My confidence in him is so high that I told him when you get in that ankle do what you think would be the best for me in the long run. His nerve block lasted 48 hours and when it wore off the pain was tolerable. Northwestern is fortunate to have him on staff.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
