5.0 star star star star starShe takes good care of her patients and is easy to talk to I want to express appreciation to Tyfanie, an excellent and personable phlebotomist. Also to Marie, a patient aide. All of the receptionists are thoughtful and efficient and kind.

5.0 star star star star starI was dreading the experience as being very painful. Ms Castillo was calm, soothing and walked me through every step. I felt safe and was surprised at the minimum of discomfort I experienced. Well done!

5.0 star star star star starDuring my first meeting with Jennifer K. Castillo, PA-C, her approach was full of energy. She introduced herself, inquired about my well-being, and asked if there were any new developments or concerns. She then proceeded to review my lab results and examine me.

5.0 star star star star starMs. Castillo scheduled an appointment with me to outline the plan Dr. [ ] has established for my ongoing care. Ms. Castillo took the time and care to explain various test results, what they mean, how Dr. Stein wants to move forward and why. She is obviously very knowledgeable and another competent member and extension of Dr. [ ] team. My experiences to this point have been very good. The Phlebotomists are technically very proficient. Dr. Regina [ ] called me personally regarding particular test results, which is unheard of in this day and age. Dr. [ ] is an extremely knowledgeable physician with an exceptional bedside manner. The Hematology department from what I have gleaned thus far is an extremely well oiled machine. Dr. Stein has her own team of assistants who will personally call to schedule appointments follow ups etc. This process is in start contrast to other units in NWestern where you have to go through a call center to make an appointment. The call center process is an absolute nightmare. My PCP Pompilia [ ] would like me to see an endocrinologist. However, going through the call center the next available appointment is one year away. Thus I have to seek the services of an Endocrinologist outside of the NW network. This is not the case with Hematology and I feel secure thus far in Dr. [ ]'s care and that of her team. Dr. [ ] and her Team provide a personal human touch.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
