5.0 star star star star starVery competent professional. Knows his craft. Enthusiastically called total hip replacement surgery "awesome" and it is. Answers directly or through his team all my questions in a timely and complete manner. I have already recommended Dr. Hardt.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Hardt is a caring and exceptional surgeon. However, I believe he could improve by spending more time communicating with the patient's family, particularly when the patient is incoherent and unable to retain information after surgery. A family call or coordination of care would have been ideal in such situations.

5.0 star star star star starHe was very professional and had the entire process mapped out for me every step of the way. He is well practiced with a great track record for knee replacements, which is what I was looking for. Alot of recovery was about managing my expectations and being available. He definitely did that!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
