5.0 star star star star starKitty M. Tourtellott inquired of side effects in first couple days of taking new medication. She reassured if side effects are persistent, dosage will be adjusted. She also confirmed future appts are scheduled for safe levels of blood counts & overall well being. Encourages to call of any symptoms of discomfort.

5.0 star star star star starIt's the 1st time I meet with Kathleen. I felt very comfortable with her as much as the rest of the staff. She gave me a good suggestion on one of medication to take at night since it can cause sleepiness. I think she's a great addition to the team!

5.0 star star star star starKathleen M. Tourtellott CNP and the nurse immediately put me at ease, relating to comments I shared. Again, the thoroughness, patience in explaining, in detail, blood test results and emphasizing specific care to my unique health history. Kathleen M. Tourtellott CNP calm, honest, patient care exceeded expectations, even though she had to share new medication I was reluctant to hear. Trust comes naturally with the NW oncology team.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
