5.0 star star star star starHe explained everything step by stuff, as I requested. He was very calming, i have anxiety issues, and the procedure was performed very quickly. And painless, everything was top-notch, but I especially appreciate when a doctor listens.

5.0 star star star star starI saw Dr. Hicks for a second opinion on my extreme knee swelling. Given I am pregnant, I never felt comfortable getting a corticosteroid shot like a previous Dr recommended. I explained my concerns to Dr. Hicks and he did a great job explaining my condition, draining my knee, and referring me to PT. There was a nurse and resident physician with him as well. They were all excellent.

5.0 star star star star starI can honestly say that Dr. Hicks treating me has been the best experience I have ever had with a doctor. He asked questions and actually listens and here's the answers that a patient gives him. He was very thorough and explains the treatment plan, and actually make sure that I understood everything. The entire staff has been very kind.

5.0 star star star star starWe discussed what happened, he did a physical diagnosis, he thoroughly explained what happened and gave me the options, with his strongest recommendation. And he explained all my questions very professionally.

5.0 star star star star starDr Hicks was very effective in assessing the most likely cause of the issue I was having, building a care plan around a first-step solution. Follow-on diagnostic work was not needed at this time.

5.0 star star star star starIn today's world, it seems like no one shows enough interest in others problems, and rush you through the system. After Dr. [last name] examined my situation, he said Dr. Hicks may have other options for me to consider. I made the appointment with Dr. Hicks and found out that he actually discussed my situation with Dr. [last name] before my appointment, and had already developed a plan for me to think about. And during my appointment with Dr. Hicks, knowing he had a busy day, and my appointment was more or less a consultation, spent what I felt was an amazing amount of time with me to make sure I understood his thoughts and concerns and that I had any questions or concerns, were answered or addressed.

5.0 star star star star starDr Hicks is a very professional but personable individual. Apparent that he is well trained in his field. Easy to follow what and how a procedure will be done and what the outcome will very likely turn out.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
