4.0 star star star star star_borderDr Sala answered all my questions, was thorough with my medical condition and what to look forward to, including the hard stuff, which I always appreciate. I'm sure my rating would go up after spending more time with him, but I only saw him once for about one hour.

5.0 star star star star starWe did a telephone medical visit and he was so nice to speak to and gave me enough time to answer my questions. He also had time to let my husband ask a question and he answer it. I thought that was very nice of him to take the question.

5.0 star star star star starHe really took the time to explain everything to me. For example rather than just saying I had nodules, he pulled up my CT scan and showed me the nodules and explained it all to me. I really appreciated it and left the appointment with a greater understanding of everything and a greater peace of mind.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Sala was fantastic, listened patiently to all my concerns, made me feel comfortable, provided a plan for treatment and caught a important issue my rheumatologist had missed that identified a genetic disorder that had been impacting my quality of life for the past 25 years.

The front desk and registration staff were also incredibly kind and helpful when I needed more information regarding my referrals.

4.0 star star star star star_borderI liked them very much but it took about a month to get a call back to schedule a 1st appt despite telling me to expect a call no longer than 3 days, then 7 days , then 10 days. I had actually gone on to begin proceeding in a different fashion .

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
