5.0 star star star star starDr. Hawkins Gay is outstanding! This was our first meeting and he was very generous with his time, made sure I thoroughly understood my condition, holds a wealth of insight and is just a straightforward, really nice guy. I've had a pacemaker for the past 12 years. I will now trust him as my new electrophysiologist. He's great! Additionally, Sasha is very knowledgeable and most helpful. The cardiology care unit is fortunate to have someone like Sasha with such a rich background of experience. Cole, was very efficient at taking my vitals and preparing for my appointment with Dr. Gay

5.0 star star star star starThorough and took his time explaining everything to me and answering my questions. I felt listened to and he had a conversation with me and did not talk down to me as many doctors tend to do these days

5.0 star star star star starDoctor Gay was very kind and helpful in explaining the details of a tricuspid operation and promised to ask a doctor with the correct specialty in Lake Forest NWM to contact me about obtaining the opinion I was trying to get. He has an excellent manner with patients.

5.0 star star star star starDr Gay is an excellent Doctor in every way. He explained my test results and answered all my questions and concerns. He set up tests to further evaluate my problem and I will be returning for those results. I was very concerned when I went to see him but he gave me assurance that I have several options. I've seen many good doctors at Northwestern Medicine but Dr Gay is truly exceptional.

5.0 star star star star starHe's a very good doctor. He explains things very well to me. He discusses all options with me, giving me the pros and cons of each choice. I feel I am part of a team working on MY behalf. He never makes me feel like any question I ask is inappropriate to the discussion. Most importantly, I feel like I am well informed to make as any important decision on my care. I have complete confidence in Dr Gay

5.0 star star star star starDr. Gay is very concerned with his patient's condition and spends as much time as needed to make sure the patient understands the procedure, outcomes, and any concerns questions they have. It is very comforting to have a Dr. be as thorough as Dr. Gay when explaining, he relieves the stress.

5.0 star star star star starAt no point did I feel that Dr. Gay was constrained to cut our consultation unduly short in order to keep to an overloaded schedule. His questions to me were focused, as were his answers to mine, but he was also thorough and allowed time for follow up.

5.0 star star star star starHe clearly had reviewed my relevant past records. Listened well and spent sufficient time with me (and the wife.) Obviously very knowledgeable in his field. He followed up quickly with desire to obtain an additional ECG from another non-Northwestern cardiologist and called me personally to provide a valuable opinion.

5.0 star star star star starVery knowledgable, courteous, pleasant, listened and answered all my questions. Had obviously read most of my chart that he needed. But then as we were talking,,,, put together that I should be on a different blood pressure medication than the one I was on, as it could be causing me some harm... longer pr interval.
