5.0 star star star star starDr. Lung was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon and he did an awesome job surgically! I've experienced minimal pain and he answered all of my questions and reassured me during the process. I appreciate his care and his expertise.

5.0 star star star star starDr Lung is a knowledgeable and compassionate surgeon. He has excellent communication skills and per my preference, kept me thoroughly informed at all times through tech and in person. Dr Lung respected my input and skillfully persuaded and encouraged me when I got off track or discouraged. He kept me on the path.

5.0 star star star star starI am 35 years old with stage 4 colon cancer with lung mets. While this is a very scary time for me, Dr. Lung gives me confidence that we'll be able to control my disease. I fully trust him, and while I know he is extremely busy, he always takes time to sit down and explain things to me. He even stopped by and saw me at 3am after he flew in from an operation he performed. You can tell he truly cares. He provides a bit of light for me during a very dark time, and I am so grateful for that.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Lung was great! He explains everything clearly, offers options and alternatives, and answers questions while making eye contact instead of staring at the laptop as many others do. Miranda was also very personable and it was a pleasure reviewing history and talking to her.

5.0 star star star star starHe found my early lung cancer even when the PET scan showed no cancer. He knew the only way to confirm was to biopsy. He biopsied and it was cancer. I might not be writing this today if not for his expertise and commitment.

5.0 star star star star starHe was prepared and acquainted with my history, allowed me to ask questions and voice my concerns, very approachable - made me feel less a like another patient case and more like a person, seemed extremely knowledgeable and experienced with my particular health issue. Most importantly he offered a path forward and allowed me to select the best option for me.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
