Dr. Driss has provided my care since being diagnosed with ALS by her. I had been seen by other professionals prior to my exam with her who had let me down. Once Dr. Driss was in charge, I felt comfortable and privileged to have her leading my ALS Team, together with Dr. Coleman.

She has been an excellent physician in the management of my myasthenia gravis for last 7 or 8 years. She has demonstrated tremendous compassion and concern for my well-being, especially in caring for/managing my condition as the world figured out the pandemic in the early days. I’m forever grateful.

I had been floundering around with symptoms for 2 or 3 years till I was finally referred to Doctor Driss who ordered diagnostic tests which were carried out at NWMH on the day of my initial appointment with Dr. Driss. On my next visit, Dr. Driss presented me with my diagnosis and treatment plan. I am forever grateful to her..she is a professional and personable physician who is a gift to NWMH and her patients.

Doctor Driss has been a blessing. She and her team are excellent diagnosticians and involve me in decision making. I am able to communicate via MyChart and also via teleconferencing. I see her at 3 month intervals and find this very helpful in managing my disability.

Very good physician/patient relationship started. Professional and friendly. Included me in discussions of future treatment and possibilities of things we can try to help me alleviate hand pain in both hands.

While she was not very warm, she listened, asked questions and explained things very thoroughly. She also made sure my questions were answered. It is rare that I would rate highly a physician who is not personable at all. It would have been nice, though, if she would have been a bit more engaged on a personal level.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
