She has a nice bedside manner and took time to help. She ordered tests to help with future appointments with other providers too. She went above and beyond.

As a new patient, Dr. Losso spent a lot of time with me and really heard me. She allowed me to express all of my concerns and was very thorough in addressing them and ordering/referring me for relevant follow-up items. I really appreciated her time and diligence. I threw a lot at her and also really appreciated her patience! I'd like to add that her nurse was very pleasant.

Despite her very youthful appearance, she is extremely competent, very deliberate in her verbal probative of my concerns and a medical professional in whom one can have complete trust in her "diagnosis". She is someone that I would most certainly recommend for neurological concerns. In fact, I've already been highlighting her and my experiences with friends, family and associates. Northwestern is very fortunate to have her on its staff.

Please see above--I have worked with both [name] (Nurse practitioner) and Dr. MerryJean Losso in the neurology department recently--they are both patient, helpful, and knowledgable and take a personal interest in your specific needs. They really listen to your concerns, and take the time to answer your individual questions directly and completely--and offer suggestions and solutions that pertain to your individual situation.

External Professional Relationships

Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
