5.0 star star star star starHe has covered what needs to done. Responds to patient personal issues, pushes his side when necessary; and thankfully, and also gives you time to decide which path to take. Believe in him strongly enough that I have tried to get my brother in as his patient! To no avail unfortunately.

5.0 star star star star starLike his now-retired colleague James Foody, Dr. Henschen listens to patients where others show impatience and let tests do the work of personal examination. Never has he given me the sense that, as others have frankly admitted, time spent with doctors is presently supposed to be brief.

5.0 star star star star starI feel very fortunate to have Dr Henschen as my PCP. He is thorough, keeps track of what needs attention and never seems rushed, spending the time to address concerns and provide advice totally involving and respecting the patient at every step in the process. I feel very connected and appreciate his care and sense of humility. Thank you!

5.0 star star star star starI’m glad as referred to Dr Henschen by my previous general medicine doctor at NW. Dr Henschen is the reason I stay at NW. He is a terrific doctor: knowledgeable, empathetic, and responsive to my concerns. He takes the time to discuss problems and explains his approach to the problem and a range of solutions.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
