5.0 star star star star starSame as above. Katy came in prepared and briefed from reviewing my file and the Immediate Care notes. She was patient, clear in explaining what she thought was going on, conducting exam, thoughtfully presented her recommended treatment and answered my questions.

5.0 star star star star starKaty carefully had my drain removed after an initial postponement due to the fact that I was still draining too much fluid the previous 24 hours. When that had slowed to a safe rate she removed the drain and helped us to schedule a follow-up appointment with Dr [last name]. Very helpful.

5.0 star star star star starKaty was so thorough in going through my chart ahead of time and made sure she really understood my patient and family history so she could make the best recommendation. She also did a great job explaining what aspects of thyroid nodules can be concerning and what she looks for when taking next steps. She made me feel validated and confident in my medical care and was a great listener and educator. Plus she was incredibly nice! Cannot recommend Katy enough!

5.0 star star star star starShe diagnosed my issue and spent time explaining what I needed to know. She made the discomfort of a nasal endoscopy (that I had never had before) quite manageable. She is obviously knowledgable in her specialty.

5.0 star star star star starShe's very knowledgeable and kind. I was surprised she was not just going of of textbook knowledge, but she also experienced what I am currently going through and I appreciated her sharing that with me. I look forward to future visits under her care. One of her patients told me to see her and I'm so glad I did.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
