1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderShe was very behind in her appointments: she made me wait about an hour after my appointment to see me. She didn’t take in consideration what I had to say very much, she rushed our appointment, didn’t let me participate in my care, and ignored some of my issues like if she could decide what issues were more important than the others. She’s not personable, but the opposite. I ended up with a bad taste in my mouth. She ended the appointment without asking me if I had any questions and when I still was not over with my consultation.

Thorough beyond belief, looks at All health areas I need to be up on...shots, tests, etc, collects information from all other visits, Dr's, Northshore, my other Dr for a specialized area outside of Northwestern to always request blood work from that Dr., Excellent Kindness, Great Person overall, Very Personable & Always tells the Truth, directs me to Specialists if needed & Always fits me in for an appointment as soon as possible if needed. She has been my Dr for over 30 years.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderDr Phan is very pleasant but was hyper focused on my BP. Though my first reading was normal and my third was normal she only focused on the second which was a direct result of her questioning that made me anxious. Then placed that elevated reading in my medical record. I will not voluntarily see Dr Phan again

5.0 star star star star starOver the last 10 years, Dr. Mai Phan's care is second-to-none. She's a phenomenal physician and internist, and I will miss her now that she will be moving into a new roll to cover for other physicians and will have to turn her patients over to others. Establishing a good rapport between an internist and a patient is critical, and she did it expertly and warmly with me. I feel like she's a family member.

5.0 star star star star starOver the years, this has never changed: Dr, Mai Phan is brilliant, thorough, thoughtful, attentive, and trustworthy. Dr. Phan always explains things clearly and calmly, in language easy to understand. She is very detailed and has caught many potential health concerns of mine before they could develop into something more She is so caring and careful and she takes patients’ health concerns seriously. (For diverse populations, this is not always the case due to some other doctors elsewhere who can have an unhelpful, dismissive bias toward people of color, but this has never been the case with Dr. Phan, who shows no bias!) She also knows when to refer you to others for care, and sees other Northwestern medical staff as an important part of her team. She is absolutely wonderful and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderl didn't feel she had any concerns about my particular medical needs. Didn't provide the doctor patient environment. Didn't ask for any of my concerns. When I was telling her about some of my problems she was looking at the and typing on the computer. Didn't ask if I had any problems from last visit. First time I met with her she announced my bad kidneys by asking had one told me my kidneys were shot. I told her no and started to cry. She around from the computer looked at me and continued to type.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Phan is an amazing doctor, with a bedside manner that is unmatched and highly favorable. My initial visit with with Dr. Phan, left me utterly impressed. Dr. Phan has excellent interpersonal skills, she ask questions to identify crucial information about her patients and take the time to both listen and explain plan of care. I was so impressed, my overall experience with Dr. Phan was excellent. My initial wellness appointment ended with labs, shortly after my appointment ended, I was contacted by Dr. Phan about following up on any tests that were done and communicating those results, and a plan of care. Let’s talk about same day service. My experience was so well, I recommend my mom to Dr. Phan for care.
